Functionality

This fully functional UGears Dream Cabriolet VM-05 has so many moving parts that you won't know which one you want to check out first. As with most other UGears items, this model utilizes a rubber band for the best tension to power the car's motor and driving mechanisms. The car goes forward and backward, but that wasn't enough for the company this time. It also idles, providing you with an excellent chance to closely observe the turning parts of the V8 engine. Once you're ready to move again, all you'll need to do is reach inside the steering column and activate the transmission lever. The car also features suspended wheels in both the front and back that provide a smooth ride when you steer the front-wheel couplings. The details don't stop there. UGears also added working handles on the windows and moving windshield wipers, not to mention a trunk that opens and closes. You'll even find emergency items, such as tools and a jack, located beneath the trunk.

Aesthetics

The functionality makes this car what it is, but the aesthetics aren't something to scoff at either. The highly detailed UGears Dream Cabriolet VM-05 is created with gorgeous and sustainable, high-grade wood that was laser-cut for precise angles. Everything from the body of the car to the rims of the wheels is highly detailed, just like you'd expect to see on any car from the 1950s. Each of the laser-cut pieces is made of plywood board, and all the small details are individual pieces that fit together like a puzzle. This means that you do not need glue or any special tools to assemble your self-propelled classic vehicle. This car is created using 739 tiny parts and requires about 13 hours to put together, making it one of the company's more difficult models. However, it also includes a set of full-color, detailed instructions that are easy for anyone to understand. These instructions are available in 11 different languages, including English, Ukrainian, Polish, Russian, and Italian. The Cabriolet VM-05 kit is designed for people ages 14 and older.
